A ventriloquist and puppet collector is to put her rare collection on display.
That's the way to do it - Stella Richards, who has been collecting ventriloquist puppets since the 1960s.
Stella Richards, 78, who lives in Braintree, has been collecting ventriloquist puppets since the 1960s.
Now some of her collection of more than 1,200 puppets is to go on display at Chelmsford Museum in Oaklands Park, Malsham Street, together with panels charting their history.
Mrs Richards said: "I have done puppet and ventriloquism shows all over the country, but it's great to get the puppets on display in Essex. I'm an Essex girl and proud of it."
A curator from Chelmsford Museum is due to visit Mrs Richards on January 17 to decide which of the puppets to put on display.
The display should go up at the museum on January 24 and stay there until April 18.
