Thanks for the book! That was the message a Braintree writer got from the Queen after sending her a copy of his latest book.
Royal copy - Karl-Werner Antrack, who has been thanked for his book by the Queen
Former German soldier Karl-Werner Antrack, 79, of Stilemans Wood, Braintree, sent the Queen a copy of his book The Golden Crown, which celebrated her 50 years on the throne.
The book was published in August. Mr Antrack now has another book in the pipeline, a novel entitled The Colonel's Daughter. He said: "I sent a copy off to the publishers who have sent the first set of proofs back for me to read."
The book is being published by Upfront Publishing and he hopes it will be on sale sometime this year.
