Dave Collis' 70th-minute free-kick ensured Thurrock a place in the Bryco Cup last 16 with their second win in three weeks over Ryman Premier rivals Kingstonian at the Ship Hotel.

Colin McBride's men won the league encounter 4-1 and would have taken a sixth-minute lead in this tie but for a good save by Lance Key from Tresor Kandol, scorer of a hat-trick in the previous affair.
Kingstonian spurned two good chances in quick succession when David Ocquaye failed to beat goalkeeper Billy McMahon and Chris Bangura shot wide from Key's long clearance with the goal at his mercy.
Collis' 25-yard free-kick eventually sealed the spoils and Thurrock could have added to their tally late on with Lee Allen missing out and Kandol being thwarted by a Key save.
If second-placed Carsh-alton suffer their third successive league loss tomorrow night when they visit Kingstonian, Thurrock will become leaders Canvey's closest challengers with victory at the same time when they entertain Bognor Regis.
