Travellers at site in Billericay have appealed against council efforts to evict them from a Green Belt site.
A further planning inquiry will take place in March, to hear the appeals of 38 travellers from the site in Oak Lane, Crays Hill.
The fresh inquiry follows one in January 2003, where the Secretary of State agreed to give the travellers two years to leave the site.
At the planning inquiry, two of the enforcement notices served by the council were seen to be invalid.
The council has now re-issued these notices and the travellers have appealed against these, arguing the eviction period is too short.
