CARETAKER manager Steve Tilson was not a happy man after seeing Scarborough earn a replay in their third round FA Cup tie with Southend.

"It was always going to be a tough game and I am disappointed that, having scored so early on, we did not follow it up," the stand-in Shrimpers boss said.

"But the important thing is that we are still in the cup, and we will have to go up there and do our best to get through."

Scott Kerr's 74th minute leveller set the Seadogs up for a second bite of the FA Cup cherry at the McCain Stadium on January 14.

The midfielder pounced from 10 yards following good build up play from Ashley Sestanovich and Clint Marcelle to cancel out Jay Smith's tenth-minute opener for the Third Division hosts.
