Three brave souls are facing a chilly winter after having their heads shaved for charity.
Tony Brown, manager at the Oak Pub in Oak Road, Tiptree, and Trevor Hudson and Kevin Hemesely made up the plucky trio who went under the razor, wielded by pub regular Paul Gregory, on New Year's Day.
The men were raising cash for the Essex Air Ambulance and after a bucket collection also persuaded barman Tom Rhodes to have his chest waxed.
Mr Brown said: "I'm feeling very cold now. We all went through with it in the end and it all went very well.
"We're hoping to have raised more than £1,400, but we haven't got a final figure yet."
