Manningtree is preparing to host its first farmers' market in early September.
Manningtree and District Business Chamber hopes it will be a major boost to the town and is now appealing for farmers and growers to come forward with products to help make the first market day a success.
"We have found a venue, and the reaction and support of local people has been fantastic," said Jayne Warner, chamber chairman and project co-ordinator.
"We know this is something that the people of Manningtree, Mistley and Lawford will support.
"So all we need now is a variety of farmers and growers to join us in making this new venture a success."
