Stanway Rovers boss Steve Ball was delighted with his side's performance against their higher league opponents.
Ball said that his side could have scored five or six goals after dominating this pre-season friendly.
"It was a fantastic performance," Ball said. "Although the results do not matter, having said that it was great to gauge where we are and how far we've come."
New-signing Ray Turner opened the scoring after being sent through one-on-one with the keeper and tapping the ball home.
Martin Curtis made it 2-0 at half-time following good play by Jimmy Clewley.
And Curtis rounded off the night with his second and Stanway's third in the second half.
