Two more post offices face the axe in Chelmsford - leaving just four left to serve the area.

Six post offices have already been shut this year as part of a scaling down operation.

If the branches in Main Road, Broomfield, and Goldlay Avenue are closed in October, it will mean three-quarters of the town's post office sites would have been sacrificed as part of a modernisation programme.

Only results from a public consultation can save them and objectors have until September 5 to express their views.
