Southend Council's park ranger service is hosting a fun day this month at Belfairs park and woods. There will be a wide range of activities for adults and children.
An adult-and-child pitch-and-putt competition will take place from 1pm to 3pm, on Saturday, August 23.
It will be split into two age groups for children aged four to nine and ten to 15. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winner.
At 11am, a conducted walk of the woods will set off from outside Belfairs Cafe, when families will have an opportunity to take in the park's scenery and learn about its history and woodland management methods.
