Tendring's tourist bosses are rubbing their hands with glee as they cash in on the hot weather.
But it's not the extreme temperatures which are bringing in the money, more the coastal breeze that has seen visitors flock to the coast in search of cooler temperatures.
Both Clacton and Walton piers have reported good business over the past week, and everyone will be keeping their fingers crossed the heatwave continues.
Terry McKean, secretary of Tendring's hotel and guesthouse association and Clacton Chamber of Trade, said it was great news all-round.
"We know we have all the necessary ingredients, the facilities and attractions, to pull in the crowds," he said.
"But you do need the good weather as well. It has brought them flocking to our resorts and it is great for business."
