Kelvin Davis was today given a big thumbs-up by the goalkeeper he is replacing at Ipswich Town.
Out-of-favour Andy Marshall has offered his complete backing to the former Wimbledon man - snapped-up last week - and is tipping him to be a huge hit at Portman Road.
The pair have been good friends for eight years, since being involved with England Under-21s.
And Marshall, who has had talks with one Premiership and two Division One sides this summer, told the Evening Gazette: "Kelvin's a great lad to have around.
"I've got absolutely no gripe with him coming here as my replacement."
