Thanks for voting, I owe you a pint.
That was the message from Colchester Fame Academy student Peter Brame to the thousands of people who voted him into the BBC reality show last week.
Speaking to the Evening Gazette yesterday, Peter described life as a prospective academy student and the troubles he's had with a hotel lift door.
Viewers of Saturday's show would have noticed Peter had one of his fingers bandaged after he got it trapped in the door.
He said: "It does look a bit nasty but I've been letting the air get to it today.
"I have been struggling with the guitar but the doctor says I'm a quick healer."
