Mohammad Akram has got his Essex career off to a dream start.
Akram hit a one-bounce four off the last ball of the innings on Sunday to seal a tie for Essex with Kent at Canterbury in the National League.
And what made it very special for 29-year-old Akram is that he did it off the bowling of Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan - one of the world's best spin bowlers.
Akram said: "I enjoyed it very much. I am close with Mury (Muralitharan) and he went very quiet when I hit two fours off him in the last over."
