A blind woman will be attempting to ride tandem across the Nile to raise cash for the community.
Clare Tunningle, 40, of Collingwood Road, Witham, is hoping to collect thousands of pounds as she attempts to ride a staggering 470 miles in five days along the Egyptian river in October.
The mother-of-five will be joined by friend Rosie Gidding, 44, of Kenworthy Road, Braintree, who will be tandem "captain" in the marathon bike ride.

Both will be raising cash for the 2nd Witham Boys' Brigade and Tabor School's Parents Teacher Association.
