Witham's skatepark officially opened in brilliant sunshine.
Braintree Council chairman Keith Bigden cut the ribbon on Sunday and more than 40 skateboarders burst out on to the £176,000 project, in Spa Road, Witham, with its various ramps and rails.

Mr Bigden said: "We have got the support of a lot young people without whose help and input this park wouldn't have been opened so quickly.
"A lot of non-skatepark users have been coming to the park and spoiling it for others.
"If we can detach ourselves from this element then this facility will be here for a long time."
