Police will be again be targeting Basildon's Paycocke Road this weekend as part of their crackdown on boy racers cruising south Essex.
It will be the third weekend of Essex Police's operation Cerberus to end dangerous driving and illegal racing.
A police spokesman said drivers were known to congregate in Paycocke Road and use it as their personal race track.
However, Chief Insp Tim Stokes, of Essex Police, told the Evening Echo he was determined to avoid officers having to deal with serious road crashes and added he wanted to assure the community officers would not tolerate dangerous driving.
He said: "We have no problems with people who enjoy their car safely in a way that does not impact on others but we will not tolerate those who use public roads for stunt driving that can and will end in tragedy."
