Southend proved with a massive winning margin at St Albans that when they turn out in force they are a match for anyone.
They romped to an emphatic victory, with 65 wins on the day and a host of outstanding performances in their penultimate summer meeting.
Hosts St Albans were their nearest rivals on 262 -- a whopping 111 points adrift of Southend's imposing total of 373.
Watford were third on 248.5 with Barnet bringing up the rear on 58.5.
There were individual win hat-tricks for under-13 boys Richard Morrisey and Ashley Dowson, who also enjoyed relay success.
Morrisey capped a great day by blasting to a stunning 200m personal best 26.6sec.
Ron Finch was another winner, taking the 800m, while Adam Macarthy continued his unbeaten run in the B-string long jump and was also 400m B winner.
