Two young women were beaten up by a pair of female thugs who fought them three times in one evening.
The 20-year-old victims, from Wickford, were trying to find a taxi after leaving Talk nightclub in Lucy Road, Southend. They had walked along Chancellor Road and as they got to the traffic lights at Church Road a car revved up, making the girls jump.
A verbal argument started between the victims and the two girls in the car and the passenger got out and punched one girls on the nose.
The car drove off but then came back and caught up with the girls again.
This time the driver and passenger both got out and started beating up the second girl.
She was left with a cut eyeball, a black eye and a suspected broken nose.
The attackers sped off again but then came back a third time. A group of young men had gone to the girls' help and chased off the attackers.
The girls were taken to Southend Hospital for treatment.
