A Canvey school was today celebrating after raising a record amount at its annual summer fete.
Leigh Beck infant and junior school, in Point Road, raised £3718.40 on Saturday.

Maz Morgan, headteacher of the infant school said: "It was a phenomenally successful day, with more people attending than ever before.
"There may still be more money to come. The weather was on our side and it was a really lovely day.
"We had bouncy castles, sideshows and stalls, live singers and a band, as well as a steam train from Waterside Leisure Centre in Canvey .
"We're really grateful to everyone who came along and spent their money and to the fete organisers, especially Dilys Dawson."
