After inflicting convincing defeats on the top two teams in the last couple of weeks Pegasus & Corringham suffered a crushing thrashing at the hands of lowly Great Burstead.
Only a seventh wicket stand of 64 between brothers Gareth (40no) and Mark Jenkins (28) - the only two players to reach double figures -- boosted Pegs.
Yet at the interval P&C were happy with the situation after keeping Great Burstead down to a total of 216 for 5 from their 45 overs on a good pitch and fast outfield.
Alan Patmore was the main bowler to be felt let down by the batsmen, returning the fine figures of 3 for 35 from his 12 overs.
