A park was filed with the sound of music when more than 20 marching bands took part in a competition.

The 22 bands from around the country were all in Colchester's Castle Park for the competition, organised by the British Youth Band Association.
The competing bands came from as far afield as Basingstoke, Stafford, Brighton and Worcester.
Some local flavour was added with a performance by Braintree band the Marksman cadets.
Association member Bob Girvan said the arena was packed with spectators, and after the performances, prizes were given for the best band and runners up, as well as for best woodwind, percussion drill, display and overall showmanship.
"The place was packed, it was an amazing day and is all about giving the youngsters the chance to get out there and strut their stuff," he said.
