A school conjured up enough magical activities to keep even the most ardent Harry Potter fan happy at its summer fete.
It's magic - Harry Potter look-alike Martin Potter, with Danielle Fuller and Francesca King at the Downhall fete Picture: MAXINE CLARKE
While Potter and his pals went for a spin at Downhall School, in Brooklyn Drive, Rayleigh, a magician mesmerised young fans of JK Rowling's epic best-selling saga.
And as no Potter party would be complete without a wise old owl or two, a special display of the birds allowed youngsters to see some of the magnificent creatures in full flight.
Families, pupils and teachers enjoyed a glorious day at the fete which included a variety of stalls and mad-cap games as well as refreshments.
