The eighth annual Concert in the Park is thought to have attracted nearly 7,000 people on Saturday night.
The world famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with support from soprano Helen Lyons and Hockley-based Kids Choir 2000, entertained a huge crowd at Priory Park, Victoria Avenue, Southend.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill, was raising money for the Burned Childrens Club, based in Basildon.
The fun went on well into the night, and ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
