Cyclists now have somewhere to store their bikes while at a Leigh school.
New cycle storage facilities which take 50 bikes for both staff and pupils, together with lockers for helmets, have been unveiled at Darlinghurst Primary School, in Pavilion Drive, Leigh.
Darlinghurst was successful in securing more than £13,000 funding to put towards improvements to their cycling facilities under the Department of Transport cycling project fund.
To encourage the use of the facilities, the school has booked additional cycle training for pupils from Southend Council's road safety team.
The new facility was unveiled by pupils assisted by Brian Kelly, Southend Council's cabinet member in charge of transport.
