Basildon & Pitsea's pressure failed to reap any reward as they lost by three wickets at home to the Division Three leaders.
Frank McCloud (82) was the cornerstone of the new towners' innings, while Luke Daw contributed 22.
But Hain (4-41) and Spooner (4-39) did the damage as the men from Mopsies Park were bowled out in 51 overs.
Hutton skipper Simon Thurston (82) led from the front and the reply was boosted by Alex Booth (59).
Michael Gray (2-46), Mark Amos (2-50) and newcomer A Kiamni (2-49) got among the Hutton wickets.
"We had a bad start and were 40-4 at one stage before Frank showed us how to do it," said Basildon skipper Paul Ayres.
