Rochford Hundred's director of youth rugby, Darrell Edwards, is leaving the club after a sudden withdrawal of sponsorship.

Edwards leaves his three-year post 12 months early at the end of July, but is pleased with what he has done in the time he was given.

He said: "In the two years I have spent with the club we have achieved a great deal.

"It has been good to work with schools and young people to develop rugby talent.

"I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped and supported me in those achievements."

As well as work with the club and in local schools, Edwards has also been involved throughout Essex with the RFU and Sport England's Active Sport initiative -- and again says he is grateful for the support he received from them.
