Detectives were today hunting a dangerous gang armed with hammers and machetes who have already attacked one man.
Police have revealed descriptions of the three armed robbers - who terrorised a man and stole his baseball cap - in the hope they can catch them before they strike again.
The gang were in a car when they pulled up alongside their victim in Hart Road, Thundersley. One of the men leaned out the window and told a young man, aged in his teens, to give up his hat.
When he refused they each produced a weapon. One had a machete, another a claw hammer and the third a butterfly knife. The man handed over his hat and fled.
One suspect was a white man, aged 18, 5ft 10in, of medium build with dark brown short hair. He was wearing jogging bottoms, a hooded top and trainers.
Suspect two was a white man, aged around 18, 6ft, fat with short black hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark trainers.
The other gang member was also white, aged around 18, 6ft 2in tall, of slim build with short dark brown hair.
He wore dark jogging bottoms, trainers and a light grey hooded top. Call police on 01268 756221.
