Thorpe Hall School is celebrating success at the Independent Schools Association regional athletics championships.
The Wakering Road, Thorpe Bay, school had 42 senior pupils and 18 juniors representing them at the regional championships at Colchester Garrison.

Of the seniors, seven pupils won their events and will go to represent East Anglia in the National Championships at the Alexandra Palace Stadium in Birmingham tomorrow.
David Gibbins, headteacher, said: "I am impressed with not only those that came first, second and third, but all those children who took part in the regional championships.
"It is an added bonus that so many have been selected to represent the school at the national championships and I wish them every success."
The winning pupils were: Years 10 and 11 -- Jonathon Bentley, 100 metres and long jump; Vikram Brar, shot; Carys Coventry, shot. Years eight and nine -- Tristan Davison, shot and discus; Ian Gray, 400 metres. Year seven -- Richard Dodds, 100 metres; Nikhil Swami, 800 metres.
