A motrcyclist has died on a mid Essex road.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the accident yesterday in which a biker was involved in a collision with a car near Writtle.
The motorcyclist, of Ilford and in his mid 20s, was travelling along the A414 towards Harlow when he was in a collision with a green Toyota Avensis car at about 4.25pm.
The man was taken to Chelmsford's Broomfield Hospital but died shortly after arrival. The driver and passenger in the Toyota were uninjured.
The biker was the seventh to die on Essex roads this year.
A police spokesman said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have been on the road shortly before the incident or saw the moments surrounding it."
