Calling anyone with a love of animals and some time on their hands - a Benfleet organisation needs volunteers.
The Rescuers' Wildlife Sanctuary, in Watlington Road, is on the look out for anyone who can spare some time to help them out.
The sanctuary, which is home to a huge variety of animals and birds, from hedgehogs to pigs, has been running for over 15 years and relies heavily on volunteers.
Co-owner Veronica Mepham said: "Although we started off as a wildlife sanctuary we have ended up with a lot of farm animals.
"Although most our volunteers are involved with the animals, either feeding them or cleaning out their cages - they don't have to be.
"People could come and do some painting or decorating - in fact at the moment we really need some gardening done."
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Veronica on 01268 752923.
