Another lost toss left Horndon captain Paul Bennett bemoaning his luck as his stayed remain on the foot of the table.
The skipper has yet to call one correctly all season, and reckons that could have cost 30 lost bonus points.
"Our batsmen are getting 200, 230 every week," he said. "If we had been batting first in some of these games we could have been posting big totals, getting bonus points and winning games.
"I've no grumbles about the way we have been playing."
The batsmen did well again at Harlow, with Chris Singh making 65 and Richard Malbuccus 45no.
But they found it tougher in the field, despite returns of 3-58 for Mark Warren and 2-80 for Singh.
Shaban Munir (58) and Simon Kernon (70) did the damage as the hosts took advantage of a good track.
