Firefighters spent an hour battling huge flames and thick black smoke after a 17-and-a -half ton lorry caught fire.

Crews were called to a vehicle, which belonged to a Westcliff laundry, at around 2.28am on Saturday, to find towels and linens stored inside the lorry were already ablaze.
Officers had to use breathing equipment to get near the inferno at the Sunlight Laundry in Salisbury Avenue.
