A failed fraud attempt has been reported at a Colchester electrical store.
Police said a man walked into Miller Brothers at the Tollgate Centre, Stanway, and tried to buy £400 worth of goods with a fraudulent credit card.
But when staff checked it he left the store, leaving the card behind.
He was described as white, in his mid-30s, 6ft tall, with a stocky build and black hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a bomber jacket.
The man is thought to have left in a silver-coloured Honda with a second man, who was also in his mid-30s.
