The table-topping clash went very much in Woodford's favour despite a brave innings for Orsett's Kevin Sargeant.
He made 73 -- more than half his side's total -- in reply to a moderate total from the hosts.
But their 228-8, built on Rob Leiper's 62, was enough to give them the lion's share of the bonus points and see Orsett slip out of the top two.
Next week they face Horndon, and although the league table might suggest a straightforward return to winning ways a clash between the two local rivals is never simple.
And Horndon have already taken first blood this season, beating their neighbours in the village cup.
