Investigators were trying today to find out how a pushchair caught alight in the entranceway to a block of flats in Colchester.
Fire crews were called to Rayners House in Earlswood Way, Colchester, at 11.45pm yesterday to deal with a small blaze in the hallway of the three-storey building.
On arrival, they found a pushchair and other items on fire and smoke spreading throughout the ground floor.
The fire was quickly dealt with and no-one needed hospital treatment, but the blaze was being treated as suspicious and the cause was being investigated.
