A man was forced to hand over cash after a teenager threatened to stab him.
The incident happened at 4pm yesterday after he was approached by two teenagers as he was drinking in one of the seafront shelters to the west of Pier Avenue, Clacton.
Insp Peter Smith, of Clacton police, said: "One of the youths came up with his hand behind his back and said 'Give me your money or I'm going to stab you.'
The man handed over £35 and the two then cycled off on their mountain bikes in the direction of Jaywick.
The attackers were described as about 5ft to 5ft 2ins tall, skinny and wearing baseball caps. One had a tattoo under his eye.
