Police were today hunting two robbers who threatened a woman at a market.
The men approached the woman yesterday at Clacton's covered market site in Rosemary Road.
They demanded she hand over money, but when she began screaming they ran off.
Detectives are trying to establish if an incident a day earlier, in which some men were causing trouble on a stall, is linked to the attempted robbery.
A police spokeswoman said the 33-year-old woman was working in the covered market at 8am.
Police are looking to see if the robbery is connected to an incident on Wednesday morning. Some men approached the woman's stall, picking items up and causing a problem.
The first attacker is described as 5ft 4ins-5ft 6ins tall and of large build. He wore blue jeans and a blue top and had a bracelet on.
The second man was over 6ft tall and wore jogging bottoms and a white T-shirt. He had spiky ginger hair.
