Essex Golf Complex's lady Captain Helen Wilson and men's counterpart Howard Gipson hosted a joint captains' day when 65 golfers turned out to support them and play for their trophies at Garon Park.
Players paused briefly after nine holes for a barbeque and refreshments served by the two captains and the barbeque festivities continued when the golf was finished.
Mac Baylis, with 44 stableford points playing off 17, took the men's trophy with Tom Locke (12) in second place and Dan Smith (17) taking third.
Lucia Baylis, no relative to Mac, took the ladies prize with 41.
Longest drive was won by Nick Carver, with Paul Osborne taking two nearest the pin prizes.
Winner of nearest the pin for the ladies was Lesley Buckley.
