Police were today waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination carried out on the unidentified body of a man discovered in a farmland pond.

The area was cordoned off and roadblocks were set up at both the junction of Wolves Hall Lane and Parsonage Lane and at Sidehall Lane.
The grim discovery of the body was made by a farmer yesterday morning. It was found in the pond in the woodland area just after 9am.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said the death was unexplained.
The man was white, believed to be under 40 years old and of medium to slim build.
He had short dark brown hair and was wearing a navy blue Ellesse jumper which had white and orange markings around the waist.
He was also wearing a blue denim shirt with a blue Nike T-shirt underneath, blue jeans and Reef trainers.
