A new club accreditation scheme for sports clubs in Essex is being launched next month.
The new scheme is called Club SX and has been set up to ensure that quality sports clubs receive the recognition that they deserve.
Club SX has been developed by the club development group of the Essex Sports Development Officers Forum.
It will ensure a consistent approach to recognising quality clubs around the county.
"Club SX will enable local authority Sports Development Officers to provide information on local sports clubs that have satisfied a set of criteria, such as attending child protection training and ensuring its coaches are qualified," said development group chairman Gillian Blackburn.
"This will help people choose a club that they feel is right for them and their family."
Club SX will also enable sports clubs to develop by offering support and advice on getting funding. The scheme will be launched at Chelmsford Civic Centre on July 15 at 7.30pm.
Contact Gillian on 01245 606978 if you would like to attend.
