Five South Essex Gym Club members qualified through the regional finals to represent the East at the national finals of the British Gymnastic Club grades.

In voluntary one, Amanda Parker was sixth overall and Laura Rose 17th but, as part of the East team, they received a bronze medal each for helping their line-up to third place.
In the grade two competition, Laura Brealey was a member of the gold medal winning team while, in grade three, Rebecca Eliades and Shelly Cornish finished 12th and 13th individually and helped their team to finish third.
As reserves for the grade one and grade three teams respectively, Emily Felstead and Sarah Clifford picked up bronze medals.
The South Essex club is based at Cranes Farm Road in Basildon.
