Police in Maldon are again appealing to parents to keep an eye on their youngsters following a number of reports of underage drinking in the area.
Complaints have been received by police over the weekend as the hot weather continued.
Ray Stannard, crime reduction officer at Maldon police, said three incidents had been reported in the last few days.
On Friday, two teenagers were taken home and given advice along with their parents by officers after they were caught drinking underage in the Tennyson Road area of Maldon.
At about 1am on Saturday, two 16-year-old girls were spotted in Church Street, Tollesbury, suffering from the effects of having taken alcohol.
Police were also called to Heybridge Basin at just after midnight the same morning following a report of underage drinkers but they had gone by the time officers arrived.
"This is something that seems to happen when the hot weather arrives but these teenagers need to know that drinking under the legal age could get them into all sorts of trouble," added Mr Stannard
