A renewed plea has been made for help in catching people throwing stones at buses and coaches in Great Totham.
Police in the Maldon district issued the appeal after a stone was thrown at the windscreen of a coach as it drove along Walden House Road in the village at about 4pm on Friday.
Ray Stannard, crime reduction officer in the area, said it was the latest of a spate occurring in Great Totham.
But he said it has usually been service buses heading towards Maldon in the evenings that have been targeted.
He said: "This really is very dangerous. The coach was moving at the time and these incidents really could cause a serious accident and it is just getting silly now."
