Doggetts fished well this week for anglers who ground-baited seriously, with good hauls of tench to 5lb and bream to 6lb being reported.

Brian Duprey fished the South bank for a morning to land 12 tench plus eight bream, the total bag weighed in at 48lb.

Allan Slade landed mirrors of 11 and 12lb plus 10 tench. Les Sword fishing the long arm landed a 11.75lb fully scaled mirror plus six tench, while Trevor Guy fished the short arm with float fished corn to land five tench all in the 4-5lb region.

Bob Brogden enjoyed sport with a 19.8lb fully scaled mirror plus a very pretty 12lb common from the south bank, whilst Billy Lamb of Eastwood landed a 16lb common from the long arm whilst fishing a night session.

Eastwood's Adam Woulds fished a night on the South bank landing a 13lb mirror plus a superb 22lb common, whilst Dan Brook of Hullbridge had a terrific battle with a 14.6lb fully scaled mirror.

Dan Wildon proved that Knash baits do work by landing a 14.5 common on Knash tangy boilies, despite Kevin Knash's difficulties with his own baits.
