Horndon grabbed their first win of the season after a bizarre run-out shattered their opponents' progress.
Walthamstow had chosen to bat and were cruising at 75-0 but a "silly" run out prompted a collapse.
"It totally changed the game and they lost a few quick wickets to slump to 95-5," said skipper Paul Bennett. "Their lower middle order got stuck in and bailed them out a bit, but 186 flattered them."
"Our bowling and fielding was excellent and the atmosphere was spot on."
Chris Singh led the way with the ball, taking 5-64, while Bennett himself claimed 4-72.
Opener Jason Plom starred in Horndon's reply and was unlucky not claim a deserved century after being trapped LBW for 97.
