Visitors to Colchester's Castle park were taken back in time 500 years.
An estimated 5,000 people went along to the oyster fair to enjoy archery, falcons, performers, market stalls and other traditional entertainments over the weekend.

Its grand marshal, Ted Lloyd, said the unique Colchester History Fair Trust event, which recreated a fair from 1450 to 1550, had been "remarkably successful".
He said: "We have tried to create the feel of a medieval fair in the park and I think we have achieved that.
"The atmosphere has been so peaceful. People have had good beer and a good crack with their mates."
Mr Lloyd added that he hoped it would be repeated next year and members of the public would dress up in costume, as the stall holders and performers had this year.
