Leisure chiefs in Southend have been awarded for the way they manage the borough's facilities.

Southend Council and its contractor Parkwood Leisure were given Quest awards during a ceremony held at Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre, in Garons Park, Southend.
Quest is the leisure industry's quality management award scheme and Southend was praised for the excellent way Warriors Swim Centre, Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre, Shoebury Leisure Centre, Chase Sports and Fitness Centre, Belfairs Swim Centre and other facilities are run.
Representatives from the centres joined Southend mayor Charles Latham at the award ceremony.
