Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident in which a motorcyclist injured his arm so badly it had to be amputated.
The 47-year-old Kawasaki rider was in collision with a Vauxhall at the entrance to the Lofthall Farm boot sale on the A128 in Orsett yesterday.
The biker, from Grays, was taken to Basildon Hospital with various serious injuries. He had his arm amputated last night.
