Music, dance and merriment is set to takeover Moreton this weekend when it holds its annual Midsummer Festival.
The two day event from Saturday, June 14 to Sunday, June 15, will see a whole range of events being staged across the village including the crowning of the rose queen, music and song sessions plus performances by more than 20 traditional dance groups - including the Moreton based Black Bull clog dancers. There will even by belly dancers to delight the crowds.
A special ceilidh will also be staged in a marquee on the school field at 7.30pm on Saturday night with the Dartmoor Pixie Band playing.
Hundreds turned out to take part in last year's event which and organisers are hoping for similar success.
The weekend will start with at noon on Saturday with the crowning of the rose queen at St Mary's Church, followed by a procession through to the school.
Sunday's events begin at 10.30am with a children's fancy dress competition. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the various activities.
Tickets for the event are £2 with entrance to the ceilidh an extra £6.
